The Sustainable Eel Group is a Brussels-based think tank and non-governmental conservation organisation committed to accelerating the recovery of the critically endangered European eel. Its contributions to the conversation regarding the European Union Eel Regulation have been invaluable and there has thus far been positive indications that the group's efforts to combat the worst effects of the illegal trade with East Asia are having effects. The purpose of this coffee table book was to chart the history of SEG from its founding in 2010 through to the present day in readiness for its anniversary event.
